The Contention of Relics (CoR) event an epic event in Infinity Kingdom, most of all because of its insane rewards for players of ALL sizes. This is an amazing event for Free to Play players and whales alike. CoR isn’t just a competition—it’s a kingdom-wide opportunity for growth, progression, and unity. Whether you’re an individual player aiming for glory or a leader strategizing for your alliance, CoR offers a dazzling array of rewards that make every effort worthwhile.

Let’s break down the rewards from CoR, their significance, and how to maximize their benefits for yourself, your alliance, and your kingdom.

How Rewards Work in CoR

CoR rewards come in two main forms:

  1. Alliance Rewards (Energy Cubes):
    • Measured by the total Energy Cubes your alliance gathers during the event.
    • Energy Cubes are earned by:
      • Killing Chaos Beasts.
      • Farming Energy Nodes.
      • Occupying Relics in the Forbidden Zone.
  2. Individual Rewards (Honor):
    • Based on the Honor Points you personally earn during battles in the Forbidden Zone.
    • PvP combat within the zone is the key to racking up Honor Points.

Both types of rewards translate into Valor Marks, a currency that can be spent in the exclusive CoR Shop. Note: Alliance Valor Marks are distributed by R6 leaders, so maintaining good standing with your leadership is important!

The CoR Shop: Your Gateway to Progress

Depending on your faction’s placement in CoR (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), your shop’s offerings will differ. However, even for lower placements, the shop is a massive source of resources and key progression items.

Top-Tier Rewards

  1. Empress Wu Immortal Fragments:
    • First-place alliances gain access to Wu fragments, essential for building a powerful Fire march.
    • Wu is also available in Arena rewards during Season 1, but CoR provides a critical boost for players focusing on Fire.
  2. Philosopher’s Stones:
    • Regardless of your placement, these are available and invaluable for upgrading immortals and for simply melting into Purple Crystals to upgrade those vital Tower of Knowledge skills.
  3. Fragments for Ashoka or Frederik:
    • Even second- and third-place alliances can secure valuable fragments to strengthen Fire and other marches. These can perform fine to run in a fire-setup if you are short Trajan and Seondeok.

Kingdom Rewards: Buffs and Bonuses for All

Crowning a King

The faction that wins CoR appoints a King, who holds the power to:

  • Distribute exclusive gifts to alliance members.
  • Grant the Forbidden Zone Sovereign castle skin to a deserving player.

Royal Buffs

Post-Event Special Nodes

Winning CoR triggers the appearance of special resource nodes in the Forbidden Zone.

These nodes are extreemly important as they offer:

  • Gold: Critical for technology upgrades and troop training.
  • Speedups: Essential for healing, training, and construction during and after intense battles.

TIP: The amount of Arcane Treasure Nodes made available after a CoR event is complete, is based on the winning factions collection of Energy Cubes. As such, even if you do pass the 300K mark for maximum event rewards, you should keep farming nodes and keep repeatedly sieging the World Heart for as many Energy Cubes as possible! These nodes make a huge difference, especially in younger servers!

Why CoR Rewards Are Vital

For Free-to-Play (F2P) Players

  • The CoR Shop is a vital source of fragments for building a second march, particularly the Fire march, which becomes essential as you progress.
  • Valor Marks allow access to resources that are otherwise challenging to acquire for F2P players.

For Alliances

  • Energy Cubes boost alliance progression and morale.
  • Winning alliances receive significant rewards, enabling them to stand stronger in future battles, including the Legion of Frostborne and Kingdom vs. Kingdom (KvK) events.

For the Kingdom

  • The event’s rewards help unify a server by fostering collaboration and growth.
  • Strategic management of CoR ensures all factions within the server grow stronger, an absolute necessity for succeeding in KvK.

    • Focus on Chaos Beasts and Energy Nodes to maximize contributions to alliance rewards.

    • Engage in PvP combat within the Forbidden Zone to climb individual rankings.
