Day of Gratitude & Starlight Tribute Mini Event Guide – (aka the “Icon & Thanksgiving Mini Event”)

Introduction

So this mini-event is basically IK’s seasonal Thanksgiving celebration, and it’s split into three parts: missions that give you “Exchange Coins,” the big Icon Vote contest, and a set of returner/inviter rewards tied to GTarcade’s backend system. If you’ve played any of the previous IK holiday mini-events, the structure will feel familiar — but this one’s definitely more community-focused than usual.

You’ll also notice they added a small “Relive Your Saga” feature that gives you a neat little history certificate and some freebies. It’s not as deep as past versions, but hey, free rewards are always awesome!

Event runs: November 24, 2025 → December 1, 2025 (00:00 UTC)
So don’t wait too long to claim or exchange coins — IK does wipe unclaimed stuff at the end.

Event Breakdown

1. Missions & Exchange Coins

The basic loop is simple: do missions → earn Exchange Coins → redeem them for cosmetics or upgrade materials. Most missions are F2P-friendly, but they definitely sprinkled in spender tasks that line up with Black Friday.

Honestly, the Exchange Shop isn’t the strongest one we’ve seen — the costs feel a bit steep. But the mission path itself is easy enough to clear daily if you’re even semi-active.

2. The Icon Vote (The Heart of the Event)

So this is the fun social part. IK picked 10 community candidates based on server impact and contributions, and each one has a short story you can read on the event page. Seriously — read them. A bunch of players put real heart into those and they are all very good! I know it means quite a lot for me to be in there for the competition of IK-Icon, and I am sure it does for the others too. I encourage you to read them all and vote for whoever you find has the best story!

Change note: I was in there as Charizard (server joke name) when writing this, but if you are reading this on the 28th or after, they have updated me to Myrahk.

How it works:

Vote once per day from Nov 24 to Dec 1.
Every vote gives you 1 Exchange Coin.
No “right” choice — literally vote for whoever resonates with you.

Rewards for the top 3 Icons:
This is actually pretty huge compared to past mini-events:

Hall of Fame Quote on the loading screen
Territory Patrol NPC across all players’ maps for one month
Official Interview and feature via community channels

So yeah, it’s a cool way to support them!

3. Grateful Gift → GTarcade Store

This tab basically routes you to GTarcade to buy bundles. Since Black Friday hits mid-event, the timing is… well, exactly what you’d expect.

If you’re a spender, you’ll probably get natural progression on several of the mission tasks anyway — good synergy.

4. “Relive Your Saga” – Small Bonus Reward Page

This is tucked at the bottom of the Reward Redemption page. It shows your starting date and generates a little certificate. It’s kinda stripped down compared to the older anniversary mini-features, but there’s a free gift. For me that was:

Returner & Inviter Event Details

Who counts as a returner?

Must have not logged in since Oct 31, 2025 (00:00 UTC)
Must be Castle Level 15+

What they get:

After entering your invitation code, returners receive:

Miraculous Descent x1
Philosopher’s Stone x9
Superior Resource Chest x10
Speedy Construction x5

Good chunk for someone jumping back in.

Everything gets mailed to you in-game. Just don’t forget to claim before the event expires — IK does purge leftover progress.

Reward Redemption – What’s Actually Worth Getting

Alright, so the shop has a mix of cosmetics and progression items. Opinions incoming.

If you’re into matching your city with the holiday vibe, go for it. IK doesn’t throw these skins around often.

Epic Dragon Crystal Selection Chest

Here’s the take from someone who burns AP like crazy:

AP & SP Bottles → top priority if you’re pushing gold farming or trying to climb Boost Levels. AP farming weekends hit hard, and I never feel like I have enough SP when trying to hit late-tier boost levels on immortals (SP if your main isnt max yet).

Stardust → expensive at 15 coins for 15. But if you’re a someone who did not have the opportunity to use the Stardust Wheel event to bank Stardust, then this is a way to get some atleast.

Token of Lights → worth grabbing. These become lottery tickets when the next seasonal rolls in, and I’ve gotten lucky with big pulls in the past (not often… but it happens).

My(rahk’s) perspective

So if it were me playing this event right now:

I’d hit the missions if not just for the AP/SP value.
I wouldn’t chase cosmetics unless I was feeling festive — they’re nice, but Exchange Coins are tight.
AP is king for farming infernal gold, and I have yet to regret hoarding SP—Boost Level pushes soak it up like crazy.
Token of Lights are “future me” items, but I always try to grab at least a few just in case the next seasonal jackpot is spicy.
For the Icon Vote, I’d genuinely read all 10 stories carefully and go with your heart whatever that may be!
