Rebel Tracks Event – Guide for all seasons (updated after changes from patch 2.8.9)

Introduction

Rebel Tracks has been reworked in patch 2.8.9, but the basics remain the same. The Rebel Tracks event is a recurring feature in Infinity Kingdom that offers players the opportunity to earn valuable rewards by engaging in coordinated alliance activities. By defeating Gnomes and rallying against Rebel Camps, players can accumulate points and resources essential for progression.

Instead of rewards through fixed event chests, the event is now tied to a new currency that you can spend in a dedicated shop.

Rebel Tracks Basics

Rebel Tracks is essentially a progression bar linked to fighting Rebel Camps (the gnome camps on the map). As you clear camps and earn event points, you unlock a series of chests along the track.

Key points from the rework:

  • The event now gives five main chests along the Rebel Tracks progression.
  • Instead of directly dropping Sun Crystals or Empowered Sun Crystals, these chests now give Ancient Gold.
  • Ancient Gold is a special event currency used in the new Gold Trade shop.

If you reach the final milestone on the track, and open all five chests, you’ll have enough Ancient Gold to buy out every item in the Gold Trade shop for that cycle of the event.

So, in simple terms:
Do the full track → get all chests → get enough Ancient Gold → clear the entire shop.

Event Mechanics

1. Obtaining Rebel Sigils

  • Defeating Gnomes: Engage in battles against Gnomes to acquire Rebel Sigils. These sigils are necessary to summon Rebel Camps.

2. Summoning Rebel Camps

  • Using Rebel Sigils: Each sigil corresponds to a specific Rebel Camp level, ranging from 4 to 7. Higher-level Gnomes drop higher-level sigils, leading to more challenging camps.

3. Rallying Rebel Camps

  • Alliance Cooperation: Coordinate with your alliance to rally against summoned Rebel Camps. A full rally team can consist of up to five players, and it’s crucial to include as many members as possible to maximize rewards.

Gold Trade Shop

What It Is

The Gold Trade shop is an extension of Rebel Tracks. Instead of relying on getting rewards from chests, the game now gives you a fixed event currency (Ancient Gold) and lets you choose what to buy. This way, you can get some goods you want without completing the entire event if you are struggling to do so. Makes the event more beginner friendly and low-stp friendly. That being said, you should always strive to complete the entire thing and clear out the event.

From the information we have, the Gold Trade shop can include:

  • Sun Crystals
  • Empowered Sun Crystals (available in conquest)
  • Unique Artifact Chest for seasonal selection
  • Unique Artifact Chest for elemental selection

The rewards of this event scale with seasonal progress. Hence, rewards gets better and better as your server progress maintaining the high relevance and quality of the event. It is a must do for all seasons. Read more here.

Is it a good event then?

All in all very good rewards and a good upgrade from the previous version as we collect more good stuff in this new reworked version with the artifacts. Very nice!

The new structure also changes how realistic it is to advance artefacts without heavy spending.

  • Clearing Rebel Tracks events gives you the upgrade materials to empower an artefact from normal → silver → gold just via this event.

So if you stick with it and consistently finish all points and buy everything: This is huge for accounts that previously stalled out at lower artefact tiers because of limited crystal access and likewise for accounts that have struggles to get unique artifacts due to pay-to-play barriers.

Impact on Immortals & Team Variety

Before this rework, exclusive Immortal artefacts were often effectively paywalled. You could get the Immortal itself, but the artefact was where a lot of the power and identity lived, and those were much harder to obtain or upgrade without spending.

With the new Rebel Tracks + Gold Trade setup:

  • More players can realistically aim for artefacts of Immortals that used to be “whale-only.”
  • You’re likely to see more variety in marches, not just the same few meta combos.

Examples, likely to become more popular with better artefact access include:

  • Margaret
  • Darius
  • Cao Cao
  • Ragnar

Basically, now that artefacts are more grindable, a lot of Immortals that were “almost good” become actually viable once you can pick up and build their artefact properly.

From a game health point of view, this is great, because field fights and arena matches no longer look so copy-paste.

Difficulty & Team Play

One thing to keep in mind: higher-level Rebel Camps still hurt.

  • Max level Rebel Camps in particular can be tough.
  • Your Immortals can get timed out or just take heavy damage from the gnomes.
  • Some players simply won’t be able to solo the higher-level camps consistently.

The recommended approach is to:

  • Coordinate with your alliance.
  • Create a hive or shared area where people spawn and hit Rebel Camps together.
  • If you can’t spawn your own or can’t clear your own, join your guildmates on theirs.

Grinding Rebel Tracks with friends is not just more efficient, it’s also safer for your marches and a lot less frustrating than wiping on level 11 alone over and over.

Player Perspective

If we look at it from a player’s point of view, not just raw mechanics:

  • This event went from “nice, but limited” to “almost mandatory” if you care about artefacts.
  • The guaranteed crystals + artefact options make Rebel Tracks one of the better recurring events for free-to-play and light spenders.
  • It also indirectly supports creativity in team-building, because more people can actually finish artefacts for non-standard Immortals.

If it were me, I’d:

  • Treat Rebel Tracks as a must-clear whenever it shows up.
  • Make sure to hit 2,550 points every cycle so I can buy the entire Gold Trade shop.
  • Use the event to slowly push an important artefact all the way to gold over four runs.
  • Team up with alliance members for the higher-level Rebel Camps instead of wasting stamina and time wiping solo.

Conclusion

The Rebel Camps rework into Rebel Tracks + Gold Trade is one of the most free-to-play–friendly changes in recent Infinity Kingdom updates.

To recap:

  • Rebel Tracks now gives Ancient Gold instead of direct crystal drops.
  • Ancient Gold is spent in the Gold Trade shop, where you can buy:
    • At least 10 Sun Crystals
    • At least 10 Empowered Sun Crystals
    • Plus Artefact Chest and Exclusive Artefact options
  • Clearing the full track (2,550 points) lets you buy everything in the shop each event.
  • Doing the event four times can take an artefact from normal → silver → gold just from this source.
  • High-level Rebel Camps can be tough, but doing them with alliance members solves most of the difficulty.

Bottom line:
If you care at all about artefacts or long-term account growth, Rebel Tracks is a grind you really shouldn’t skip.
