Level 51-55 gnomes equipment drop rates

Gnome Equipment Drop Rates (Levels 51–55): What the Numbers Actually Say

Introduction

Equipment farming from gnomes becomes strategically important once you enter Conquest levels 51–55. These tiers are the first where legendary equipment enters the drop pool in meaningful volume, including normal, plus, and elemental variants.

There is a persistent misconception that any legendary drop automatically outclasses lower-rarity gear. In practice, the data tells a more nuanced story. When elemental bonuses are factored in, Epic+ elemental gear actually outperforms normal legendary, and sometimes even rivals legendary plus pieces depending on stat alignment. Anyway, players want to get the best possible equipment – that means legendary elemental equipment! Let’s look at the drop rates and figure out if you should farm level 55’s only as most players think?

This article breaks down actual drop-rate data from levels 51 through 55, explains what those percentages mean in real farming terms, and outlines how experienced players should interpret the results.

Dataset Overview

The following data was collected from several thousand gnome camps cleared across conquest levels 51–55. Each row represents total clears at that level and the observed drops.

Legendary Drops: Rarity vs. Reality

Legendary Normal

Legendary normal gear makes up the largest share of legendary drops at every level. At level 55, you are seeing it in roughly 1 out of every 4 camps.

In practice, most legendary normal pieces are fuel for your enchanted stone stores, as it is outperformed by legendary plus, legendary elemental AND Epic + elemental.

Legendary Plus

Legendary plus is significantly rarer, stabilizing between 4–6% across all five levels. This rarity reflects its intended role: a decent upgrade for players as they enter Conquest. The advantage of these are that they can be used across all immortal regardless of elemental affinity.

Legendary Elemental

Legendary elemental drops sit very close to legendary plus in frequency, generally 5–6% across the range.

What makes legendary elemental special is not raw stats, but elemental synergy. On the right immortal setup, a legendary elemental piece outperforms a legendary plus.

The Quiet Standout: Epic+ Elemental

This is where many players underestimate the data. Epic+ elemental gear drops at 16–21%, depending on level. That is three to four times more frequent than legendary plus or legendary elemental.

From real usage:

  • Epic+ elemental consistently outperforms legendary normal
  • With the correct element, it can compete surprisingly well with legendary plus
  • It is far easier to refine, replace, and optimize due to volume

So… What Level Gnomes Should You Farm for Legendary Elemental Gear?

This is the question I get most often, and the honest answer is one many players don’t expect:

It largely doesn’t matter.

Looking at the drop-rate data from gnome levels 51 through 55, there is no clear upward trend in legendary elemental frequency, while there seem to be a bit higher drop rate at 55, it is not as significant as I would have thought and I think it is most likely down to the sample size that we see real differences. That being said, if you take little to no losses on 55’s farm them just in case! The percentages fluctuate slightly from level to level, but those variations are small enough that they are almost certainly the result of sample size and random variance, not a meaningful difference in underlying drop tables.

If we were to grind tens of thousands of camps at each level, I am confident those curves would flatten further. In other words, level 55 does not meaningfully “unlock” a better legendary elemental rate compared to 53 or 54. The game simply doesn’t reward higher gnome levels with a noticeably higher chance for that specific outcome.

Why Pushing Higher Can Be a Mistake

Because the legendary elemental drop rate remains effectively stable, pushing into higher gnome levels only makes sense if the cost stays reasonable.

If moving from level 53 to 55 means:

  • Significantly higher troop losses
  • Slower clears
  • More healing downtime
  • Increased reliance on reinforcements

Then the efficiency equation breaks down.

You are not being compensated with better odds. You are simply paying more for the same lottery ticket.

From practical experience, players who insist on farming the highest possible gnome level often progress slower, not faster, because stamina efficiency and troop sustainability matter far more than marginal level differences.
