Genghis Khan (lightning) – Ultimate Skill
Introduction
Genghis Khan is one of the most direct and mechanically transparent burst carries in Infinity Kingdom. He does not rely on layered triggers or complicated scaling loops. His value is simple: high, reliable AoE physical damage combined with one of the most strategically important debuffs in the game — Serious Wound.

In the current meta, he occupies an interesting space. On paper, his damage is among the highest of all burst carries and in practice, his effectiveness is supreeme when correctly setup. When properly built, he performs at a top-tier level.
This guide breaks down his Ultimate mechanics, optimal builds, team structures, damage comparison against meta carries, and his real position in competitive play.
Ultimate Skill – Arrowstorm

Core Effect
- Full-field AoE physical damage
- 150% → 500% scaling at max level
- Applies Serious Wound for 10 seconds (healing blocked)
Arrowstorm hits every enemy on the battlefield. At max level, 500% scaling gives it genuine late-game burst potential, especially when amplified through critical scaling and Ultimate damage modifiers.

The embedded Serious Wound is what elevates the skill from strong to decisive. It shuts down:
- Active healing ultimates
- Passive regeneration
- Sustain loops in Earth defensive teams
In sustained fights, this denial can determine the outcome more reliably than raw damage alone.
Exclusive Artifact Effect
With his exclusive artifact equipped, Arrowstorm gains +30% total damage.

The mechanic does not change, but the added damage takes him to absolute top tier when it comes to raining down pain in the form of massive AoE burst damage.
Team Fit and Lineup Structures
Khan is flexible, but not universal. His performance depends on builds that protect his casting rhythm either through hyper regen or strong regen control. Khan needs to get ahead in the energy regen game (same principles as Himiko and other burst centered meta immortals). Since all of his damage comes from repeated ultimate ability casts.
Earth Hybrid (Current Strongest Structure)
In the current meta, Khan performs most consistently as a backline carry inside Earth-heavy defensive shells.

Example structure:
- Zenobia, Theodora or preferably Fu Fei support and sustain
- Either Alexander offensive builds (preferably) or dual tank Bjorn/Charles builds
- YSS mandatory frontline tank for mitigation
- Khan backline carry
Pure Lightning Composition
In full Lightning:
- Khan becomes the central carry.
- Energy acceleration becomes mandatory, consider Matilda for backline support here.
Pure Lightning can work, but in general it seems to struggle to keep pace with optimized Earth builds.
Optimal Support – Fu Fei
Fu Fei is Khan’s strongest support.
Her Ultimate:
- Heals all allies
- Removes control
- Grants control immunity (up to 6 seconds with artifact)

Khan’s biggest weakness is interruption. If stunned before casting, his pressure collapses. Fu Fei solves this entirely. If Fu Fei is unavailable, Fighting Master becomes mandatory to prevent shutdown. That in itself is a huge part of why Fu Fei is so powerful, you free up a passive skill slot on your main carry – Khan – to equip yet another devastating damage skill.
Mandatory Support Specialisation – Battle Excitation
Running Khan you need a support not only to maintain HP and troop count, etc. But also for the incredibly powerful synergy with the support talent specialization “Battle Excitation”. This talent skill restores up to 200 energy to a back-row ally at battle start and increases their damage dealt by 55%.

For Khan, this is not optional. It accelerates first Arrowstorm timing thus amplifying opening burst as well as providing the quickest possible application of Wounds in the game.
Without Battle Excitation, his first cast often arrives too late against aggressive teams.
Skill Build Recommendations
Khan’s philosophy is simple: Increase Ultimate frequency or increase Ultimate damage.
Free-to-Play / Low Investment
- Fighting Master (control immunity + survivability)
- Anger (physical damage)
- Upgrade to Time to Shine if possible
Time to Shine synergises strongly with his crit-based burst and pairs extremely well with Deadly Aim.
High Investment
- Energy Mastery
- Corrosive Power

These skills both increase the damage output of Arrow Storm as well as provide massive energy regen upon every cast. They are the core of what players call “hyper-regen-builds” and they absolutely shine on Khan. They significantly changes how Khan performs.
Did you catch the hint? anyway, for the last skill slot for players able to run Fu Fei support for Khan, you want to use Time to Shine for that massive damage and crit synergy.

As such the final setup will look like this for high-end players: Corrosive + Energy Mastery + Time to Shine.

Specialisation Choice
Deadly Aim (Best Option)
- +30% Critical Rate
- +50% Physical Damage

Perfect synergy with his burst profile. When combined with Time to Shine, Arrowstorm damage spikes become very noticeable. This is the only choice that makes sense regardless or your specific setup and build.
Deadly Aim is simply far better than the alternatives:
Concentration Stance: Provides Ultimate damage and accuracy. Accuracy adds little value; Khan already has minimal miss chance.
Stellar Rain: Triggers additional damage every 9 seconds. Poor scaling and poor synergy. Not recommended.
Meta Damage Comparison – Where Khan Actually Stands
To properly evaluate Khan, we need to compare him to other meta burst carries.

Baldwin – Highest Average, RNG Dependent. Baldwin leads at 198% DPS, but his damage relies on proc mechanics. This is a problem, since some fights he may overperform, but in many others he underperforms both in terms of just bad procs meaning lesser overall damage – but especially because he has the inherent risk of not dealing any damage at all against the enemies you really want dead! Baldwin can go multiple casts without hitting the enemy carry (not likely, but entirely possible) which makes him a very RNG pick – meaning if you want to be able to sometimes demolish enemies with good luck and hits he is awesome, but for consistency, not so much.
Khan by comparison has zero randomness in output. Every Arrowstorm delivers predictable value at an average not far off.
Himiko – Conditional Parity. Note that Himiko’s listed value includes a 25% Shadow elemental advantage. The advantage is confirmed to be in the 10-25% range for all the elemental advantages and based on experiance (especially from when shadow elemental affinity was buffed to fight back against the old holy dominated meta) she most likely sits at a full 25%. However, this is not officially confirmed so just have that in mind.
Given elemental advantage Himiko edges higher into the damage ranking than Khan, but she does NOT provide Wounds and moreover your Khan will not be hamstrung by a meta where most default builds are built to counter magical damage through Aegis and Resist. But again on the other side, Himiko forces Fighting Master upon enemies through fear of her control effect and she does have the added advantage of taking less damage. Why favor a Khan then?
The Strategic Advantage – Built-In Serious Wound
Basically, for a solo carry in pure damage numbers some immortals like Baldwin and Himiko does outperform Khan on paper. But in a meta where solo-carry builds are losing out to builds that incorporate Alex’s with Knife Through Butter as well as a meta where healing has become readily available in large numbers, a Khan with Wounds is in my opinion a stronger pick right now. No other carry in the game can provide healing denial.
This matters because where many meta builds needs a Qin to secure wounds, a Khan build that is transitioning into its last form with Fu Fei besides him, does not lose out on the precious wounds debuff like other meta builds. Instead, Khan solves this entirely himself.
Sometimes denying enemy healing is stronger than dealing a bit more damage!
Conclusion Summary
Genghis Khan is one of the most consistent burst carries in Infinity Kingdom.
He does not top the damage charts on average damage on paper but he offers:
- Near-top-tier DPS
- Complete consistency
- Built-in Serious Wound
In the right structure, he remains a highly competitive anti-sustain carry. Without proper energy and control protection, he falls short of the very top. Khan rewards structured builds and proper support. Build around his Ultimate, protect him between first and second cast window, and his impact becomes massive.
