Immortal EXP Farming Through Solo Gnome Camps

A veteran breakdown of how EXP distribution really works in Infinity Kingdom

Immortal leveling is one of those systems that looks straightforward on the surface, but once you understand how EXP is actually distributed, your farming efficiency can change dramatically. Over the years, I’ve seen many players slow their own progression simply by running full marches out of habit.
This guide focuses specifically on Immortal Experience Point (EXP) farming via solo or reduced-immortal gnome hits, explaining why it works, when it doesn’t, and how to push the system even further using Immortal Rebirth.
How Gnome Camp EXP Distribution Works
Every gnome camp has a fixed EXP value. That EXP is split evenly among all immortals participating in the fight.
There is no catch-up mechanic. Lower-level immortals do not receive a larger share, and higher-level immortals do not receive less. The game simply divides the total EXP by the number of immortals present.




Using Level 45 gnome camps as a clean example:
- 4 immortals → 4 × 156,681 EXP
- 3 immortals → 3 × 208,908 EXP
- 2 immortals → 2 × 313,362 EXP
- 1 immortal → 1 × 626,724 EXP
The implication is obvious once you see the numbers clearly:
If a single immortal can solo a camp, they level four times faster than in a full march given same gnome level
Dragons and EXP: A Common Misunderstanding
Removing the dragon does nothing for EXP optimization.
- Dragons do not gain EXP
- Dragons do not consume EXP
- EXP distribution is only affected by the number of immortals




Whether you bring a dragon or not has zero impact on how EXP is split. Bring a dragon if you need the combat power; remove it if you don’t. From an EXP standpoint, it’s irrelevant.
Why Max-Level Immortals Actively Hurt EXP Farming
A very common mistake is trying to “cheese” the system by filling a march with max-level immortals and one immortal you actually want to level.
Unfortunately, the game doesn’t care. The EXP is still split evenly, and any portion assigned to a max-level immortal is simply deleted.
Example, again using Level 45 gnome camps:
- 3 max-level immortals + 1 leveling immortal
→ Your target immortal still only receives 156,681 EXP
The other three shares are wasted. There is no overflow, no redistribution, and no conversion.

If an immortal doesn’t need EXP, they should not be in the march.
Solo vs Carry: Choosing the Right Gnome Level
Ideally, you want your target immortal to solo the highest possible gnome camp they can reliably clear.
If soloing is not possible, you have two options:
1) Lower the gnome camp level


2) Add a second immortal as a carry

Practical Example
Let’s say Seon cannot solo Level 50 gnomes.
- Level 50 gnome, 2 immortals → 406,821 EXP for Seon (see above)
- Level 45 gnome, solo → 626,724 EXP for Seon (see below)

Even though the camp is weaker, the solo hit produces significantly more EXP. This would suggest that you should always solo the highest possible gnome camp – that however is not entirely true. We are forgetting about Immortal Rebirth!
EXP Soaking via Immortal Rebirth
Through Rebirth tricks we can find the most high-efficiency EXP farming setups/method. The Alchemy Lab allows you to Rebirth immortals, converting their stored EXP into EXP scrolls that can be reassigned freely.

Assuming you are not constantly constrained by the rebirth cooldown because you are changing up your battle formations, then the optimal setup becomes: Always farm gnome camps with two immortals below max level.
How This Works in Practice
- Immortal A: your priority immortal
- Immortal B: a temporary EXP sponge
You farm the highest gnome level the pair can reliably clear, even if Immortal A cannot solo it. Both immortals receive half the EXP per fight.
Once Immortal B approaches max level, you rebirth them, converting their accumulated EXP into scrolls, and then feed those scrolls back into Immortal A.
Why This Beats Soloing Lower Camps
Returning to the earlier example:
- Seon cannot solo Level 50 gnomes
- Two-immortal clear at Level 50 gives Seon 406,821 EXP
- Rebirthing the second immortal returns another 406,821 EXP per camp as scrolls
Effectively, Seon gains full 813.642 EXP from Level 50 camps, despite not being able to solo them.
This method strictly outperforms soloing lower-level camps as long as:
- You can clear the higher camp with two immortals
- You can afford the rebirth cooldown
Conclusion Summary
- Gnome camp EXP is always split evenly
- Soloing gives up to 4× faster progression
- Dragons have no effect on EXP
- Max-level immortals waste EXP
- Lower gnome levels often outperform adding carries
- Two-immortal farming + rebirth is the most efficient method overall
If your goal is to level a specific immortal as quickly as possible, the game rewards precision, not brute force. Reduce the number of immortals, choose your gnome levels carefully, and let the EXP system work for you instead of against you.
