Earn Cold Silver Coins (main currency for svs rewards)

This article explains how players can earn Cold Silver, the main reward currency from the Legion of Frostborne battleground (commonly called KvK).

During a Legion of Frostborne season, players can earn Cold Silver from three sources:

  • Personal Ranking Rewards
  • Alliance Faction (Progress) Rewards
  • Alliance Power Ranking Rewards

The Faction Rewards are the main bulk of most players income and can be modified depending on what your alliance controls at the end of the season. If your alliance finishes with Ymir (the Gnome Capital) and/or one or more Citadels, your Faction Reward gets multiplied by a powerful modifier.

Use the calculator (on the wiki page) to find your exact final Cold Coin earnings based on your alliance’s faction power and captured structures.

Personal Rewards

At the end of each Legion of Frostborne season, players receive personal rewards based on their Legion Mark ranking.

You gain Legion Marks by earning Honor, donating, and sieging throughout the event — but Honor gives the best return by far. Each point of Honor adds directly to your Legion Marks, so it’s the single most important factor in your ranking.

Here are the updated personal rewards for the Season 1–2 (KvK) version:

Legion Marks are the primary way of earning ranking points in Infinity Kingdom. Players can earn Legion Marks by earning Honor and donating resources, defeating gnomes, constructing thermal towers, and so on.

  1. Attacking enemy player: One of the most effective ways to earn Honor is by attacking enemy Castles. When players successfully defeat an enemy Castle, they can earn a lot of Honor points. You get a little more than 1 merit point per honor gained.
  2. Donating resources: Players can earn Legion Marks by donating resources to their alliance. The more resources players donate, the more Marks they can earn. However, it is important to note that players should only donate resources that they can afford to lose. You get 500 Merit points per million resources donated.
  3. Thermal towers: Thermal towers are a critical component of the Legion of Frostborne mode. Players can earn Marks by constructing and upgrading thermal towers. Players obtain Legion Marks based on the time a march has been building in a Thermal. This is the same as with Cities in Norheim. Legion Marks are rewarded both from constructing friendly and demolishing enemy Thermals.
  4. Defeating gnomes: Gnomes are not exactly a unique feature of the Legion of Frostborne mode. But players can earn Marks by defeating gnomes that appear on the Frozen map. You get 500 Merit points for a level 50 gnome camp for reference.

Alliance Progress Rewards (Cities)

Your alliance’s Faction Power determines your Progress Rewards (sometimes called Faction Rewards).
Faction Power is earned by capturing and holding cities and gates. The higher your Faction Power at the end of the season, the more Cold Silver each alliance member receives.

Modifiers – Very Important!

The biggest impact on your final Cold Coin income comes from Citadels and Ymir modifiers.
At the end of the season:

  • Each Citadel controlled gives +25% Cold Coin reward.
  • Ymir (the Gnome Capital) gives +50% Cold Coin reward.
  • These modifiers stack additively, not multiplicatively.

This means: Final Reward = Base Reward × (1 + Total Modifiers)

Example

Let’s say your alliance finishes with Faction Power = 6,800 (or more) giving you a base = 9,000 Cold Silver
and controls Ymir + 2 Citadels.

  • Ymir = +50%
  • Citadel #1 = +25%
  • Citadel #2 = +25%
    Total Modifier = +100%

Correct Math:
9,000 × (1 + 1.00) = 18,000 Cold Silver

Wrong Math:
9,000 × 1.5 × 1.25 × 1.25 = 21,093.75 (incorrect)

Always add the modifiers first, then multiply them once — never compound. Use the tool below!

To use this tool:

  1. Select Faction Power: Choose the faction power from the dropdown based on the power your faction has achieved.
  2. Select Modifiers: Check the boxes next to Ymir and/or the number of Citadels you control to apply their reward increases.
  3. Calculate Rewards: Click the “Calculate Rewards” button to see the total Cold Coin reward, factoring in your selected faction power and modifiers.

Player Perspective

From experience, the Faction Rewards + Modifiers matter way more than the personal ladder in the early seasons. Unless you’re chasing a top 10 spot, your real coin gain comes from how well your alliance coordinates at the end of KvK.

If it were me, I’d make sure my alliance locks down at least one Citadel — even a single 25% boost is better than climbing a few hundred ranks solo. And if you’re lucky enough to grab Ymir, that’s basically doubling your alliance’s income.

Cold Silver are the backbone of your long-term growth from Legion of Frostborne.
If you’re in Season 1 or 2 (the old KvK version), maximize your returns by:

  • Farming Honor consistently for a solid personal rank
  • Joining an alliance that pushes Faction Power hard
  • Holding Citadels and Ymir for those end-of-season multipliers

The combination of personal and alliance efforts will set your account up with thousands of Cold Silver ready for the next season’s shop. During season 1 and season 2, you can bank up a lot of Silver or redeem for skills in the shop, after you finish season 2 you will have access to buying amazing skills from Cinders (earned by selling KvK stone rewards, read more here) but beware that the rewards shop has a permanent stock that does not replenish! Cold Silver carry over between seasons.
