The latest patch for Infinity Kingdom has arrived, bringing a range of optimizations and features that aim to refine gameplay and enhance strategic possibilities for players of all levels. From map marker updates to major adjustments in artifact progression, here’s everything you need to know about the newest changes and what they mean for the community.

Navigating the world map just became easier with the introduction of new color-coded markers. These changes allow players to differentiate between allies, enemies, and their own forces at a glance:
This improvement is automatically enabled but can be reverted to the classic markers via the settings menu. While it’s not a game-changing update, the improved clarity will undoubtedly reduce confusion in high-stakes moments, such as battles over contested cities or resources.
Backpack clutter can now be minimized with the new item pinning feature, allowing players to highlight up to 25 items per category. While equipment isn’t eligible for pinning, this is a great addition for keeping track of consumables, speed-ups, and other critical resources. This is a nice quality of life improvement, but not anything game changing. I would recommend players pin important items they are collecting passively such as Random Fragments from Harbour Sailing, Philosopher Stones and Artifact Schematic Chests. Not having these items lost to the bottom of a long inventory screen will be quite nice!
Players searching for resources on the world map now have a new option to filter out already-occupied gathering nodes. This small but impactful change ensures smoother resource collection and could help reduce accidental attacks on allied or neutral players, especially in peaceful servers. Another quality of life improvement, however also one that I foresee will work nicely in minimizing the amount of accidents in peaceful servers.
The timing for “Rare Treasures” artifact packs has been revised:
This adjustment is a welcome change for players who like to plan their artifact progression. Knowing exactly when these critical schematics become available allows for better resource management and strategic timing, especially when saving gems or artifact fragments. For me playing on a Preperation server, I can now plan my progression into my very first artifacts and Unique Artifacts. I now know I need to set myself up with resources and materials in preperation for day 40. Moreover, it has been an issue for young servers, that players are unaware of when normal artifacts are released outside of the Mysterium shop. We now know that 24 days marks the begin of the artifact grind. Very nice!
A host of improvements to the Illusion Battlefield squad tournament promises a smoother, more engaging experience:
These changes aim to make the tournament more transparent and accessible while encouraging competitive play.
Perhaps the most intriguing change of this patch is the reduction in the unlock level for the Toxin Barrier skill, now available at level 39. This tweak is particularly relevant for younger servers, where Earth-Wind Hybrid combos dominate the Season 1 meta.
Historically, Toxin Barrier has been a countermeasure against hybrid combos, providing a tool to disrupt their synergy. By making it accessible earlier, players may find new strategies to balance the battlegrounds, creating a more dynamic and competitive environment in early seasons. Toxin Barrier works very well in fighting back against Normal Attack damage. The skill combines a strong defensive buff with a powerful offensive ‘thorns’ effect and works well both on offensive frontline immortals and surprisingly well on tanks too. Read more here.
This is a great opportunity to rebalance the meta and give players more tools to fight back against the hybrid dominance. Season 1 battles are about to get a lot more interesting!
The latest patch isn’t just about fixing bugs or improving visuals—it brings meaningful changes that will impact players’ day-to-day gameplay and long-term strategies:
As the patch settles in, it will be fascinating to see how these changes affect the community, especially in competitive events like Contention of Relics and Legion of Frostborne.
What do you think of the latest updates? Will Toxin Barrier level reduction shake up the Season 1 meta? Share your thoughts and strategies as we dive into this exciting new chapter of Infinity Kingdom!
