Water Castle lvl 30 Build (w. Merlin)

This guide is part of my article series on water builds. If this build is not to your likeing, have a look at the rest of my builds on the water build page. I have multiple builds for any taste available, IB, PvE, arena/ToS builds and F2P/cheap builds.

This article is for new developing players and part of my guide series which includes builds for Castle level 20, level 30, level 35 and level 40. These builds are made for the average player who unlocks Merlin and later Attila but is not whaling hard.

A Castle level 30 guide to Water

At Castle level 30, you have a lot more Tower of Knowledge passives available compared to the previous guide. Before we get into the setup you should run at this stage, let’s take a closer look at the new passives which are particular powerful and which I still use i my end-game marches.

These are all top tier passives: Adrenaline Rush, Garrote & Chaotic Blade, Fire Nova & Toxic Nova, Fighting Master, Blessing of Defense, Physical Shield, Anger, Chase, Concentration and Root.

At Castle level 30 you will still not have had time to max out your stable of Immortals nor many stars ranks on the Immortals in play. As such, this guide attempts to zero in on the average player and where he or she is at in terms of Immortals and Passives around Castle level 30. It is based on an average player accounts and experiances with where we expect to be at around this progress level.

Immortals

At this point in your progress, you have unlocked new Immortals. You will likely have Yoshi and Harald at this point, enabling you to change into an Immortal composition that looks like this: Merlin, Yoshi, Harald and Bryn/Attila.

Note that if you have been super lucky and obtain, Hippolytta, Richard or William you want to swap one of these Immortals in to replace Bryn. If you have bought Attila prioritize adding him to the setup in Bryn’s place.

Passive (ToK) setup

At this point in your progress, you most likely have 3 stars on Merlin, 3 stars on Yoshi, 3 stars on Attila and 5 stars on Harald. If you do not have Attila but instead use Bryn, you will likely have her maxed out at 7 starts at this point.

Just like star-ranks is based on an estimate of where you are likely to be at in this stage of progess, the level of each passive e.g. (1) or (3) is a rough estimate of where you are at this point in time based on player inputs and experiance.

You should run the following passive setup at this stage:

Merlin: Concentration (3)

Yoshi: Anger (3)

Harald: Physical Shield (3) and Chaotic Blade (3)

Attila: Adrenaline Rush (3)

If you do not have Attila, rely on Bryn: Adrenaline Rush (3) + Garrote (3)

Comments

You can use Magical Shield on Harald to boost your power in PvP combat versus other water marches. However, you should be aware that Magical Shield looses it’s value later on, as most powerful players move into Physical damage from Bathony, Khan, Alex, etc
