Welcome to the thrilling world of Infernal Assault! This event is a perfect mix of strategy, teamwork, and rewards. If this is your first time participating, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. Let’s dive into everything you need to know to conquer this event and reap the benefits. In this article we are going to go over the basics as well as dive into some tips and tricks. I will also insert links to more advanced guides on strategies for you as a player and your alliance.

What is Infernal Assault?

Infernal Assault is a team-based event in Infinity Kingdom where you and your alliance take on waves of Gnome camps and their Core Furnace bosses. As a new player in a young server, you may not feel a huge demand for gold yet, you will have to spend gold upgrading immortals and a lot more upgrading your dragons, but unless you have been gemming the dragon upgrade button a lot, you are more than likely doing okay in the gold department for a while as you start out in Infinity Kingdom. THIS WILL CHANGE. As you advance, you will discover that gold is in huge demand and quite hard to comeby. As such, farming as much gold as you possibly can will be hugely important for your continued growth as you advance. Outside of the Infernal Assault event, there are not many good sources of farming gold. So pay attention and build a bank while you can!

For reference, see here how much gold is required for dragons as you continue upgrading.

The event lasts three days and cycles monthly. It’s unique because it offers:

  • Gold farming opportunities: The best way to consistently gather gold resources.
  • Alliance rewards: Points earned collectively for the alliance.
  • Individual rewards: Philosopher stones, gems, and more.

This event requires strategic troop deployment and teamwork to maximize success and minimize losses.

Understanding the Event Structure

  • Participation Requirements:
    • Must be on the server for at least three weeks.
    • Event progresses sequentially; you must complete each level in order.
  • Gnome Camps vs. Core Furnace:
    • Camps: Multiple garrisons. Use defensive immortals like Charles for efficiency.
  • Core Furnace: A single Gnome boss. Focus on high single-target DPS heroes like Yoshi, Hippo, Alex, or Arash.
  • Troop Deployment:
    • Larger squads reduce troop losses.
    • Stay close to teammates to share buffs and conserve Action Points (AP).
    • Joining rallies, even without attacking, contributes to alliance progress.

Individual Challenge Tips

The Individual Challenge allows you to test your might solo. Here’s how to succeed:

  • Match your troop power with recommended levels (see below) to avoid heavy losses.
  • Avoid “death zones” between levels (e.g., the steep jump in losses from Level 6 to Level 7).

Recommended Troop Power by Level:

LevelTroop PowerStrategy
< 4< 40,000Focus on farming small camps.
440,000–80,000Use buffs and defensive heroes.
680,000–100,000Tread carefully—optimize blessings and skills.
10130,000–150,000Deploy balanced squads for sustained attacks.
20+> 200,000Push only if rewards justify losses; focus on gold.

Pro Tip: Above Level 20, farm smaller camps instead of pushing for the Core unless you’re well-prepared. Gold farming here is invaluable.

Alliance Challenge: The Team Effort

The Alliance Challenge requires coordination for maximum rewards. Here’s how to crush it together:

  1. Focus on Key Levels:
    • Level 10: 50 Alliance Points (AP cost-efficient).
    • Level 20: 100 Alliance Points (best point-to-AP ratio).
    • Read this guide for details on the maths used to deduce the above here.
  2. Coordinate Effectively:
    • Use the Alliance Calendar or send reminders via mail.
    • Set alliance marks near borders for easy access.
    • Add Infernal Assault locations to alliance bookmarks.
  3. Leadership Tips:
    • Encourage participation through alliance chat.
    • Provide clear instructions on troop deployment and rallying.

Reminder: A well-coordinated alliance earns more points and gets better rewards for everyone.

Rewards and Strategy

  1. Gold Farming:
    • Prioritize camps for steady gold income.
    • Save gold for upgrading immortals and dragons.
  2. Alliance Rewards:
    • Earn points collectively for better alliance chests.
    • Strong alliances benefit everyone, so teamwork is key.
  3. Individual Rewards:
    • Meet level criteria for philosopher stones, gems, and more.
  4. Destroying the Core:
    • Higher levels = better rewards, but also higher losses.
    • Consider alliance strength and AP costs before pushing further.

Key Takeaways

  • Infernal Assault is an essential event for gold farming and alliance growth.
  • Optimize your troop strategy: defensive for camps, DPS for the Core.
  • Coordinate closely with your alliance for better results.
  • Always evaluate the risk/reward ratio when advancing levels.

With this guide, you’re all set to dive into your first Infernal Assault. Strategize wisely, work with your alliance, and most importantly, have fun! Let me know how your event goes or if you need any more tips. Happy battling! 🎮🔥
