What to Expect from the New Season 1 format (2.8.2)

Disclaimer: New formats are not released yet and this is my best guess at how the new season 1 format will look.

As Infinity Kingdom transitions into a reworked Season 1, many players—especially veterans from early release servers—are wondering what has changed. The upcoming version of Season 1 appears to follow the framework of what has traditionally been known as Season 2, incorporating multiple new systems and content updates. Here’s a breakdown of the key features and what players should prepare for.

🆕 Major Changes in the New Season 1

🧙‍♂️ Level 50 Castle Cap

  • The maximum castle level increases from 40 to 50, allowing further progression.
  • Players will need substantial resources and speedups to reach this new cap.

🌀 Chaos Immortals

  • All Chaos-element Immortals are available through the Chaos Roulette.
  • Expect them to be expensive, priced similarly to how Holy Immortals were on release around 6-9K each depending on speed.

⚔️ Immortal Specializations

  • Specialization system is added for Immortals, granting powerful stat boosts and effects.
  • Players will need to collect large amounts of immortal fragments again – begin banking now!
  • Dragons do not get specializations yet—that feature is introduced in Season 3.

💎 Artifact System

  • Elite Artifacts (EAs) are available, much like in original Season 1.
  • Slight improvement in accessibility via more coins in Mysterium, but not drastically easier.

📘 Skill System Updates

  • No Chaos-element exclusive skills yet.
  • Well of Time skill pool is refreshed or updated.
  • Expect tweaks that bring some meta-shifting possibilities.

🎯 Event & Currency Changes

🌌 Galaxy & Theia Changes

  • Holy and Shadow Immortals are available in the Galaxy shop—A LOT cheaper than Theia.
  • This significantly lowers the cost for completing Holy/Shadow teams.
  • Chaos Immortals remain tied to Chaos Roulette, with premium pricing.

👑 King of the Hill (KoH) Updates

  • KoH now features all GP heroes (including strong options like YSS).
  • These previously season-locked Immortals can now be obtained more flexibly.

🧭 Improved Event Rewards

  • Rewards across events are slightly better than old Season 1, though not radically different.

🧰 Preparation Guide for Players

To prepare for the new Season 1 (Season 2-style), here’s what to focus on:

Resource Banking

  • Save resources and speedups for pushing to Castle 50.
  • AP (Action Points) will be valuable for farming new equipment and events.
  • Stockpile EXP scrolls for new Immortals and specialization leveling.
  • Stockpile Enchanted Stones for new levels on Equipment.

Currency Management

  • Save up and bank Galaxy Crystal Balls: Save for Holy and Shadow Immortals.
  • Spending funds: Prepare for Chaos Roulette if aiming for Chaos units.

Progression

  • Aim to reach Castle 40 before the season update.
  • Maximize tech upgrades, and build strong dragon levels and equipment setups.
  • T5 troops are expected, so complete that progression path where possible.

💬 Current Meta Snapshot

  • Pure Earth teams remain strong and popular (e.g., Fu Fei, Alex, Charles).
  • Mixed marches are still viable, especially for mid-tier or flexible strategies.
  • Whales dominate with full Chaos setups, but aren’t the only meta-defining option.
  • Apollo specialization is notable among top players.

📌 Final Notes

  • Transitioning into the new Season 1 may come with uncertainty—some players report conflicting info about jump mechanics or update timing.
  • As always, stockpile strategically and adapt early to seize advantages.
  • Expect more clarity once the season actually goes live or patch notes are officially released.
