Overview of the Golden Path

The Golden Path remains fundamentally the same in terms of its core mechanics. Players complete daily quests to earn EXP, which in turn provides rewards and coins as they progress through the season. However, with the recent changes, the rewards have become more enticing, especially with the introduction of Dragon Skins. Let’s break down the new system and compare it with the old one.

The Basics

In the Golden Path, you have the option to purchase Medallion tiers to enhance your rewards:

  • Small Medallion ($5): Grants access to the spender tier rewards.
  • Big Medallion ($20): Provides additional immortal fragments and 20 levels instantly.

The rewards in the shop can be purchased with the coins earned through Golden Path EXP levels. The primary difference now is that the prices and prizes have been adjusted to offer more value, especially with the inclusion of Dragon Skins.

Comparing the Old and New Golden Path

Old Golden Path

In the previous version of the Golden Path, obtaining a Castle Skin was a long-term commitment, especially for free-to-play players. Here’s a detailed breakdown:

  • Castle Skin Cost: 750 coins.
  • Free-to-Play: It took 15 months to earn 750 coins, as players could only earn 50 coins per month. This was a significant time investment.
  • Low Spender: If you purchased the $5 Medallion, you could speed up the process. In 3 months, you could earn 510 coins with the $5 Medallions. After that, you needed to grind for 5 more months as a free-to-play player, totaling 8 months and $15.
    • Alternatively, you could spend 4 months with the $5 Medallions and then 2 more months as a free-to-play, totaling 6 months and $20.
  • Mid Spender: Spending 5 months with $5 Medallions would give you 510 coins, which meant you’d slightly overcap.
  • High Spender: You could get a Castle Skin in 4 months by purchasing 2x $20 Medallions and topping it off with 1 month of free play and 1 month of the $5 Medallion.

New Golden Path

The new Golden Path has made it significantly easier and faster to obtain rewards, particularly for free-to-play players:

  • Free-to-Play: Now, you can earn 100 coins per season, cutting down the time to obtain a Dragon Castle Skin to just 9 months, a significant improvement from the previous 15 months.
  • Low Spender: With the $5 Medallion, you now earn 300 coins each season, meaning you can get a Dragon Castle Skin in just 3 months for $15. This is an incredible value compared to the old system.
  • High Spender: The $20 Medallion now nets you 500 coins per season. You can get a Dragon Castle Skin in just 2 months by spending $40.

Improved Coin Rewards

The coin rewards have doubled in the new Golden Path:

  • Free-to-Play: Increased from 50 to 100 coins per season.
  • $5 Medallion: Increased from 170 to 300 coins per season.
  • $20 Medallion: Provides 500 coins per season.

New Dragon Skins

One of the most exciting additions to the Golden Path shop is the new Dragon Skins. These skins are not only visually appealing but also provide powerful buffs that can enhance your gameplay. Here’s a closer look at the value and benefits of these Dragon Skins.

Value Analysis

For free-to-play players, the new system is a huge improvement. You can now obtain a Dragon Castle Skin in just 9 months, down from the 15 months it took to get a regular Castle Skin in the old system. This makes the game much more rewarding and accessible.

For low spenders, the $5 Medallion is incredibly valuable. In just 3 months, you can earn 900 coins, which is enough to get a Dragon Castle Skin. This is an excellent value for just $15.

For high spenders, the $20 Medallion provides a quicker route to the Dragon Castle Skin, but it’s not as cost-effective as the $5 Medallion. You can get a Dragon Castle Skin in just 2 months for $40, which is still a good deal if you’re looking to get the skins quickly.

Additional Rewards

Beyond Dragon Skins, the shop also includes frames, nameplates, and chat boxes. To obtain all of these items, you need a total of 1080 merits. This means that while focusing on Dragon Skins, you can also work towards collecting these additional rewards, enhancing your overall gameplay experience.

Conclusion

The updated Golden Path provides increased value for both free-to-play and paying players. With the introduction of Dragon Skins and the increased coin rewards, players can now enjoy significant benefits at a reduced cost. Whether you are a free-to-play player or a spender, the new Golden Path system offers exciting opportunities to enhance your gameplay and collect powerful rewards.

Remember to check the shop regularly and plan your purchases to make the most out of your coins. The new system is designed to be more rewarding and accessible, so take advantage of it and enjoy the journey!
