Basic Hybrid Build – How to build Hybrid from Preperation into seasons

The Earth-Wind Hybrid build has been a dominant force since its inception in the early seasons. It remains a popular choice due to its ability to challenge high-spending players without requiring as much investment. While it is possible to run this build as a free-to-play player, achieving peak performance will take time, especially when it comes to maxing out Immortals and unique artifacts.

The key to the Hybrid build’s success lies in artifacts. While it is functional in a preparation server, its true power only emerges when all four Immortals have their unique artifacts. Scaling attack speed to extreme levels is what makes this setup shine. Additionally, you need high-level Tower of Knowledge skills to fully optimize its potential. The good news is that the necessary skills and artifacts are available within the preparation server limits (under c40), making it a viable long-term investment as you progress through the tiers.

Once fully online, this build excels because it utilizes two powerful normal-attack Immortals—Alexander and Hannibal Barca—who synergize with Qin Shi Huang and Zenobia, both of whom provide game-changing buffs to normal attacks, especially when enhanced by their unique artifacts.

Core Hybrid Build Progression (Preparation Phase)

As you work towards a complete Hybrid build, aim for the following Immortal and skill setup:

  • Alexander the Great: Duel Master, Combo, Absorb/Physical Shield (for defense) or Heavenly Thunder (for offense).
  • Hannibal Barca: Cleave, Anger, Malice Aura (swap to Fighting Master if facing strong control setups).
  • Zenobia: Berserk Aura, Blessing of Speed, Oaken Guard.
  • Emperor Qin Shi Huang: Coercion Aura, Blessing of War, Blessing of Defense.

Early Game Adjustments:

  • Use Onslaught on Barca before acquiring Malice.
  • Silence or Instigation can provide early crowd control on Zenobia or Qin until better Tower of Knowledge skills are unlocked.

The Importance of Unique Artifacts

The unique artifacts are essential for unlocking the full potential of the Hybrid build. Prioritize obtaining unique artifacts for all four Immortals first, as they provide exclusive bonuses that dramatically increase their power.

Artifact Prioritization:

  • Alexander & Hannibal Barca: Rapid Bonus artifacts with physical attack as the main stat.
  • Qin & Zenobia: Surge Bonus artifacts.
  • Once all four have their unique artifacts, focus on upgrading Alexander’s artifact first, followed by Hannibal’s. If you obtain two strong artifacts for both, upgrade them simultaneously, but ensure Hannibal’s artifact has at least a unique physical damage top stat.

Why Hybrid Works as a Primary or Secondary Build

One of the major advantages of Hybrid is that it does not require as many premium Tower of Knowledge skills compared to other meta setups. This makes it an excellent secondary team option that can complement any main build.

The core attack speed skills (Berserk, Speed Blessing) and normal attack modifiers (Cleave, Combo) are rarely used outside of Hybrid. This means that even if you are running another main setup, investing in Hybrid will not drain key skills from your primary build.

When planning your first and second team, Hybrid is an excellent choice because it efficiently utilizes skills that do not interfere with other strong compositions.
