Hippolyta is one of the absolute best Immortals in Infinity Kingdom and a personal favorite of mine. She isn’t just a must-have for fire setups; she also shines in other elements like water and lightning. Her unique ability to control enemy energy while dealing strong damage makes her an incredibly versatile and valuable asset in multiple lineups.

Hippolyta’s Ultimate Ability – Flaming Smite

Her ultimate ability, Flaming Smite, strikes enemies five times per cast, dealing 120% damage per hit. Once you acquire her unique artifact, Goddess’ Waist Belt, this increases to seven smites per cast. In addition to dealing damage, each smite removes 100 energy from the target. Moreover, each smite causes a 10% attack speed debuff on the target, stackable and with a 6s duration.

While her raw damage output is solid, the true power of Hippolyta comes from her energy reduction effect. This ability enables her to disrupt enemy ultimates, giving her team a significant advantage in both PvP and PvE scenarios.

Fire Setup (Her Most Common Role)

Hippolyta is an essential part of any Fire team. Since Fire thrives on frequent critical hits, her multiple attack instances make her an ideal pair with Seondeok, whose ultimate damage scales with crit activations. To enhance this synergy:

  • If you’re running a lower-level Fire build, Rage can be equipped on Hippolyta to increase her crit rate, further maximizing Seondeok’s damage output.

Hippolyta also fits extremely well in Lightning compositions due to her debuff application. While not as common as Fire, a Water-control setup with Hippolyta can be incredibly powerful.

Hippolyta is one of the strongest immortals for Spider and PvE Boss fights. Her ultimate deals all seven smites to a single target when there is only one enemy, making her function as a pseudo-single-target nuker.

Even more importantly, her energy drain can prevent bosses from using their ultimate abilities entirely. By stacking Energy Regen skills (such as those from the Tower of Knowledge), she can repeatedly remove the boss’s energy, massively reducing incoming damage.

This makes her a top-tier pick for PvE content, significantly improving survivability and damage output over prolonged fights.
